NEXT STEPS Transition Series
Second in a series of 5 workshops focused on helping high school students with disabilities move forward into adulthood. Session two is titled "Transition Plans: Roadmaps to the future." IDEA requires transition planning for all students with disabilities. Participants will learn how transition planning can be incorporated into students? ongoing special education plans. The influence of competency testing, graduation requirements, diplomas, integration and curriculum emphasis on transition plans will be discussed.

The first four sessions are at Riverside Brookfield High School on October 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th starting at 6:00 and ending a 8:30. The last session will be at the Holiday Inn William Tell on November 19th in conjunction with a Resource Fair.
