About Us

In 1920, a young man named Louis DeSitter came from Belgium with a vision: to start a company to provide the finest quality flooring materials and installations for both homeowners and businesses throughout Chicago.

Today, Louis’ vision is carried on by his two grandsons and third generation co-owners, Tom Cunningham and Steve DeSitter.

DeSitter’s success could be measured by the impressive number of customers and communities we serve, or by the more than 150 million square feet of floorcovering we’ve installed for both residential and commercial customers; but the greatest measure of our success is the number of years our customers have been turning – and returning – to us to fulfill all their floorcovering needs.
