We Are Creed

About Us

We Are Creed is a volunteer-run nonprofit focused on sharing the love of reading and books with children through several programs:
- Barb's Buddies: Provides bookstore gift cards to children in foster care so they can choose books they want to read and can call their own
- Book Flood: Sends books to teachers that are new to the profession or are in high-poverty areas to be used in their classrooms
- Friends of Ellie: Asks children's hospitals what items they need to support the education and development of their residents
- Finding New Homes: Uses donated, gently loved books to find new homes in classrooms, families, and children that need them

While we do support literacy in other areas, these are the main programs.

Barb's Buddies is available in Illinois, Wisconsin, & Arizona while Book Flood supports classrooms in Illinois, South Carolina, Arizona, & Michigan. Friends of Ellie and Finding New Homes sends items all over the United States.
